Happy Mother's Day

Hope everyone is having a great week so far.  I finally was able to do some crafting.  I'm getting better everyday with my grieving process and the crafting today was a big step.  My DH was my best  Judge when I was creating things.   I always was asking him and showing him what I had done.

This was even a harder challenge for me because of the project that I made was a Mother's day project.  I lost my mom 21 years ago.  My mother-n-law I lost 6 years ago.  She was my best friend.  I was her care giver for the last 9 weeks of her life.   Making this card was very soothing for me to be able to remember them both and that too know that My DH  is with both of them.

I'm going to post my card first,  then I will let you know below the post what cuts I used and the embossing.

My card is a 5x7 card. The embossing if from Anna Griffin the Climbing Rose folder.  I just love her folders

The flowers are from the flower shoppe cart.   I love this cart for making small flowers. The ribbon and the white flowers were in my stash that I had gotten from M's a few months ago. The gems are from M's also.   The Happy Mother's Day stamp was also in my stash.  Not sure the name or where I had gotten it.  I'm entering this in the BBTB2 http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com  challenge for this week which is to make a Mother's Day Project.  I'm also entering this is the FCCB challenge also.   http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com

Thanks for looking and have a great day  Happy Early Mother's day everyone.  Cherish the time that you have with your mom's because one day they won't be there.  God will have taken them with him.

TO MY LOVING HUSBAND

I know most of you that follow my blog know that my husband had been fighting lung and brain cancer for the past year and 1/2.  On April 21st  he lost his battle and God called him home.  My oldest daughter posted this on her facebook page and I wanted to post it here for you guys to see it.  Its very hard for me to read it.

Glenda I wanted to say that I'm sending huge prayers out to you and your husband.  I been in your shoes.

posting

Its been two weeks since I posted.  We had the memorial service for my DH last Saturday.

My sister and her husband came back for the service and my brother-n-law had to have emergency surgery because of a ruptured spleen. My sister didn't even make it back for the service.  I told her that it didn't make any difference that Barry was important.   We had to call an ambulance to come and take him around 11:00 AM    Last Wednesday the Doctor released him so My sister and her daughter could drive Barry back to Dwight Il where they live.

On Wednesday after noon I had to go to Babtist Heath in Paducah where my youngest daughter had gone to her OB doctor.   They admitted her immediately and did an ultra sound and found that the umbibical cord was over the top of Colton's head.   They said that this was very dangerous for the baby and that she needed a C-section done.   The nurse told Jamie that if she was to go into labor the cord would come out first.  Then Colton would have landed on the cord and no blood or oxogen would have gotten to him and he would have died.  I will post pics at the end of my blog.

So the past week has been crazy.  Now that things have settled down I think now I can morn my husband for just a little bit.  Not long because he would come down and kick my but.  LOL

Here are some pics of my new grandson.

Going Home

I know that it has been a long time that I have posted on my blog.  I haven't forgotten it.  I just haven't had the time to work on anything.  I have about 4 different projects to finish.

Sunday morning at 11:30 God needed my husband to come home. Most of you knew that he had brain and lung cancer and that we had been fighten this for 1 1/2 years.  The last month he had been unable to walk or stand.  He had been in the hospital for the last 30 days.  He begged for me to come home so I did bring him home a week ago Monday.  He slipped into a comma on Friday and God took him Sunday.
My sister Dorothy was here.  Larry's sister Ruby was here.  Our son Tony was able to come in from Kansas and be here also. Our daughters Krystal and Jamie were here also.   I very close friend Stacy who was like a daughter to Larry and I had also drove all  night to be here.

My husband's wishes was to be cremated and buried at the foot of his brother who he lost in Vietnam 44 years ago.  He will be taking his last trip to Joliet Il in about 2 weeks.

I'm having a memorial service Saturday here at our home.

Larry wanted to be home so I thoought this would be perfect.

Sunday afternoon my SNL and 5 of his golfing buddies will take some of his ashes out to the golf course and will use his golf clubs and shoot one ball a piece at each hold as they leave alittle bit of him on each hole.  He loved golfing.

Thanks everyone for all the support and the love that you have giving me over the last year.  Larry is loved and will be missed but I do know that he is in a better.  I will have my Guardian Angel with me at all times.

The picture below was taken when we had gone to Florida on January.  Larry was doing so good.

I love you and I will miss you so very much.
Today would have been our anniversary 31 years of marriage but 43 years of living together.

"BABY BOY"

Good Morning everyone.  First off  I  need lots of prayers for my family.   My oldest grandaughter was in a very series car accident Monday.  By all rights she shouldn't be here. The Good Lord was read for her yet.  Broken pelvis, facial breaks.  Broken ribs.  Bruised lungs and bruised heart. As her Doctor said.  She's broken and a mess.

Then last nite my other grandaughter called and said that her future father-n-law had a seisure and fell and broken his neck from the fall and died instantly.

Most of you know that my DH has lung cancer.  He was doing good up until yesterday.  He's no longer able to stand or walk very far.   He's STUBBORN ( like most men) so using a wheel chair he argues about it.  But I guess thats his pride, which I totatly understand.

So please keep my in mind when yall are saying prayers.  Just add a few more.   Thanks for letting me getting some built of emotions out.  I was telling another fellow crafter that I don't have time to get sick because there isn't enough hours in the day for everything that I need to do.  The hours are just not there.

Now on to a Happier post.  Over on the Lasting Memories blog, the challenge for this week is tags.
I have a new grandson and great-grandson.  One in May and one in July. Here is the link for the Lasting Memories Lo challenge http://kcclayoutchallenges.blogspot.com  The challenge for this week is  "TAG"  Your It!!
Like I said in the beginning that I will have new Baby Boys in my life and decided to make this LO and do it for the challenge.
I want to thank Faith Abigail for the inspiration on making this page.  It will be a dbl LO when i'm finished.  I used alot of carts for this.  All the paper is from DCWV  The pattern paper is from the paper stack BABY BOY Stack.  This stack has some awesome paper in it.

First I will post the picture then I will tell you what I used to make this LO.
Here is how I made this LO.

I used brown for my base paper to match the brown in my in the pattern paper that I used.  I matted the 4x6 pictures  (4) with very light blue card stock.  I used the same blue card stock for the stork which was cut from the CRICUT SAMPLER cart.  The Title was cut from 2 different carts. BABY was Plantin Schoolbook and boy was cut from Kate's ABC's.  The house was cut from Kate's as all the layers. The tree with the swing is from Just Because Cards cart.  The tags are from A CHILDS YEAR.  I used eyelets that I had in my stash with blue and white bakers twine. I stuck the tags in the top of the picture mat to the left of the house.  I had seen where one of the DT ladies had done this.

I do have Kate's ABC's cart and the Cricut Sampler and Just Because cart.  I basically used the ULTIMATE CREATIVE SERIES SAMPLER.  I got this has a gift from one of my crafter friends.   I really like this  It has 6 different parts to this will lots of cuts from all carts
Thanks for looking and have a great week.  I will post the second page of this LO when I'm finished with it.

Good Friday morning everyone!!!  This has been a week full of Doctors.  Most of you know that my DH was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in Dec of 2011.  He has gone thru radiation and chemo most of 2012.  The cancer Doctor is very pleased with the lastest results and doesn't think that Larry needs to resume treatments at this time.  My DH says that he got a B report card.  As the Doctor said now we assume just getting his quality of life back and getting stronger. So for everyone that has sent prayers  Thank you!!!!

Enough of that.  I made this LO of my 2 grandsons with there back packs.  I'm entering this in 3 challenges. http://www.hidinginmycraftroom.com
