Christmas cards w/candy

Christmas is just right around the corner.  It just seems like we just did Thanksgiving. I have been working on these for two days and watching Linda www.paperboutique.blogspot.com video on how to make these.  Thanks Linda I really enjoyed making them.  I don't have any spellbinder dies, so I had to use my cricut expression2 to get the openings.  This was not an easy feat for me because I haven't used the center point feature until now. Used a lot of my scraps for practice until I got it right.

Here are the first three that I did yesterday.

This is the first 3  I used three different paper stacks.

This paper is from Recollections City Sidewalk Christmas stack.
The wreath on the front is from Teresa Collins Dec 25th cart. The poinsettias are from M's.
The Merry Christmas is a stamp that I had gotten from HL a couple of years ago..

This paper is from graphic 45 The Twelve Days of Christmas. I just love this stack.  its so pretty. I used some of the flowers from M's.  I also used the chipboard piece that came with the stack.

This paper is from HL All Seasons paper.  I used the dog from CAC2  The gingerbread man is from CAC2 also.  I used mini google eyes on the dog and the gingerbread man.  The Joy was part of another paper stack that I had.
All of these measure 5x7 when finished.

This one is 4 1/4x 5 1/2 when finished. The bell and the wreath are from the DEC 25th cart.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Merry Christmas everyone.  I will be going up North for Christmas and won't have access to a comp until I return on Dec 28th.  So this will be my last post for two weeks.  Have a safe Christmas

Altered Gift box

Hello.  Hope everyone had a great day.  My grandson Colton and I did some crafting this afternoon.  Well I did the crafting,  he was in his bouncer setting on top of the kitchen table where he usually is watching me.  I posted a picture of him in an earlier post.

My project that I had done was for the HIMCR http://www.hidinginmycraftroom.com Holiday Colors.   Lorraine http://cardcreationsbylorraine.blogspot.com
on her video blog  http://www.youtube.com/user/maxandshoji  I hope this link works   had made this alter box that she had gotten from M's in the $ bin.   I really liked the video so I tried my own.

This what the box looked like when I purchased it from M's.

This is now.  I used a MS branch punch to cover the Christmas tree. I painted the front with red craft paint. I changed the ribbon to red.  the Angel at the top is a miniature ornament that I had in my stash.
The ornaments are red buttons also from my stash. I put some red tulle inside and will probably fill with candy or some other things.  Not real sure right now.  Will have to think about it.

I used some Christmas paper from my stash. Don't know the name because if was a single sheet that I had gotten from a fellow crafter. I think its called Ullitide ( Misspelled).  I made a tag and placed that on the back.

thanks for looking.

The weekend

Good morning everyone.  Hope everyone had a good weekend. We had an ice storm, then snow, then freezing drizzle yesterday.   Still no school for the kids.  My youngest daughter took her 7 month old outside.

Yesterday my daughter put up the Christmas tree.  Colton decided that he wanted to se what everyone was doing.

I finally finished my 2014 calendar.  I had posted Nov and Dec in another post.  Here is what I did for the front of the calendar.

I used the paper stack A Place In Time from graphic45 for the whole calendar. I really enjoyed doing this one. It was so easy because all the embellishments were there for you to use.
I want to acknowledge that some of my inspirations for the calendar came from the graphic 45 blog site and the calendar series tat they had done and also from Suzanne circutcraftinggrammy  on the series that she had done for a scrapbooking glass that she teaches.

Thanks for looking and hope everyone has a good week.

November and December calender page.

Today I was able to work on my November calendar page and my December page. I finished them.  Now all I have to do if finish putting the days in and the numbers.

                                                                    Here is November.

I made some of my vellum flowers  and inked them to make them brown. I used some bling that I had gotten at M's.  The ribbon is a two-tone that I had gotten at M's also. The butterfly was also from M's  The papers are from graphic 45 A Place In time.  I also sued some of my rolled flowers at the top.

My December page is from this years paper pack The 12 days of Christmas from graphic 45. I didn't really ad to much to the page because the paper says it all.  This paper pack is gorgeous.  If you  get a chance go take a look at the paper stack on the Graphic 45 blog site.

Hope everyone has a good Friday and a good weekend.  We are in a Winter Storm Warning for tonight and tomorrow.  Then returning again late Saturday nite into Sunday.

Calender pages

I'm still working on my 2014 calendar.  Here is September and October.

I used my MS Lacey Doily punch around the girl on the swing. I used some flowers that I had gotten at M's.  The leaves were cut from the Artiste cart.

The 31 and the spider web and the spider are all cut from the Happy Hauntings cart.

I still have to finish putting the days of the week and the numbers.
Thanks for looking.  Only two more pages and my calendar will be done.  Have a great week.

We are under a winter storm watch starting Thursday.  Tomorrow is going to be close to 70 degrees. Then the bottom is going to fall out.  High Friday will only be 27.
I will be doing lots of crafting and cooking this week end.
