Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone.  Hope everyone is getting things done and not stressing too bad.  I got all my Chrismas shopping done but nothing is wrapped.  My youngest daughter and I are going to start wrapping tomorrow afternoon.  Going  grocery shopping in the morning for Christmas eve and Christmas day.  Plus trying to pack for Fla.  My DH and I are leaving at 2:30am on the 27th.

I made this card that I saw on the back of CardMaker magazine.  The card was made by Latisha Yoast.  Mary  http://cardztv.blogspot.com Had made this card in her 12 Days of Christmas cards.

I used the same recipe that she had used. If you get a chance check out her blog. I love everything that she does.  I really like the way it came out.

The tree is cut from Lryical Letters @ 4"  You can find this on page 67.
Elegant Edges. I'm really glad that I got this cart. Page 38 Shadow feature and the oblong feature.
Textile cuddlebug embossing folder.
Banner was cut from Stand and Salute cart @ 3/4"

Thanks Mary for the video on how you made this and Thanks Latisha for the inspiration.

The cheerleader and her Football Player

I  made these for a calender page.  I needed something for September besides the usual Labor day.  2013 Labor day will be Sept 2nd.  In September The kids are back in school and the football games start. So I decided to do Sept and Foot ball.

I used the Teddy Bear on Parade cart for the football player and the cheerleader.  I cut around the cutouts to make the pom poms more realistic for the cheerleader.   I had alot of fun making these.

I have entered this in the New Monthly Challenge over on the Lasting Memories blog http://kcclayoutchallenges.blogspot.com  I have done one complete 2013 calender and this is my 2nd calender for 2013.  I start out simple and my mind thinks of other things to put on each page.  By the time I'm done its taken almost all day to do the LO page.

I really enjoy making the calenders.  The numbers and Days of the week are from the Designer's calender  cart.

The fisherman is from the Teddy Bear Parade cart.  I used one of my scissors to cut the worm.  I used some Baker's Twine for the fishing line.

I used CAC2 for the golfer.  The photo mats are 4x4.  The photos doesn't do the pictures justice.  The numbers and the days of the week and JUNE are from Designer's Calender.

2013 Calender

Here are the last 6 months of my calender.

The backgound paper is From DCWV  The Four Seasons Stack.  The LAZY  DAYS OF SUMMER is from Kate's ABC's.

The back ground paper for this is from  DCWV Autumn Melody.  The font is from Kate's ABC's. The scare crows are from the Simply Charmed cart.  I can't remember what cart i used for the fence behind the scarecrows. Fall saying is from Autumn Melody stack also.  There is a page with different saying on it.  I just cut around it and glued it to the page.  The days of the week are from Designer's Calender cart.

This page was done completely in CCR with the few cut for October.  I loved doing this page.  I posted this one when I did it.  You can go back to the post too see what I used, because I forgot.  LOL  its been done for awhile.

The background paper is from the Autumn Melody paper stack from DCWV  I used this stack alot.  What I didn't finish using I will be using next year for cards and pages.  I love this stack.  DCWV will have a new stack for next year probably.  As you can see my favote stacks and paper is with DCWV  I just love the paper.  The turkey is from the Teddy Bear Parade cart.  the squirrel is from CAC2.   This is also and pretty kewl cart.  If you get a chance try getting this cart.  The November is from DESIGNER's Calender cart.   The Thanksgiving is from MS Seasonal Cake art cart.   There is some great cuts and Words on the cart.

And the last page of my calender is DEC

The cart I used was Simply Charmed for the presents and Merry Christmas.  I made the tree and star in CCR and sized to fit in the area that I wanted it to go.   The lights on the tree is from CAC.  I used a MS punch Lacy Doily and the I used silver glitter to make it look like garland.  I used Cricut Essentials for the skirt.

That is my 2013 calender for the upcoming year.  I'm doing one more and have to really get to working on it so I can finish and start on my Christmas cards.  If not the cards won't get done.  Have a great week and be safe.
