HALLOWEEN/TRICK OR TREAT

Happy Halloween everyone.  Because of the bad weather that is heading in our direction here in Western Ky they have canceled  Trick or Treating for tonight.  They have resceduled it for tomorrow nite.

The challenge this week over on the BBTB2 blog is TRICK OR TREAT HALLOWEEN CHALLENGE!  You were to make a Halloween themed project.  I knew I wanted to make a dbl page LO.  I wanted to use some things on the CTMH Artbooking cart. I also used the Happy Haunting cart also.
Halloween was cut from the Artbooking cart as well as the MOON
Trick or Treat was cut from Happy Hauntings cart as well as the fences, grass. I flipped 2 of the fences so the birds would be faces each other.  I popped the fences up to give them more depth.
The ghosts and the pumpkin was also cut from the Happy Hauntings cart. The frames were cut from the Artbooking cart.  They are the 4x4 photo mats but I cut them @ 3.75.  The little glitter cats are stickers from Jolee's boutique that I had gotten at M's..

I started out with just these cuts in the beginning. I  wasn't  sure what I was going to do.  I thought maybe the cuts were to big since I cut them at the suggested size that was on the page.

Here is the finished 2 page LO'S. I do like the way it came out especially since I had no idea what I was going to do.

There are black birds on the fence. I should have made them a different color.

Here is page one with a closer look at the different cuts.

  Page two

Thanks for looking and have a fun and safe Halloween.

I would also like to share with you My beautiful tree that I can see all day long from my living room window. This tree just brighten's up the whole front yard even on cloudy and rainy days like today.

Have a great night!!

'BOTTLE HOLDING'

Good morning. Hope everyone is having a good morning so far.  Here in Western Ky I woke up to fog, but better than rain or snow.
The Lasting Memories Lasting Memories challenge this week is "JOURNALING"  I'm not good at this at all.  My thinking is that the picture speaks for it self.  This is true in most cases but when other people look at the page they are not going to know who this is unless you know the person. I have to remember to journal or the reason behind the page will be lost.
Here is my single page LO that I made.  I will let you know what I did at the end.  Sorry for the quality of the picture.

This is Colton my 5 month old grandson. He will be turning six months on Friday.  He wants to hold his bottle which he does most of the time.  Sometimes he doesn't.  The first picture which is a 4x6 I matted it on some recollection paper to corinate with the lid of the bottle.  I also did the second picture the same way.

My solid base page is also some recollections paper that I had gotten at M's. The pattern paper is from DCWV 'LITTLE MISTER'. I had commented on DCWV blog spot on which paper stack was your favorite and I had said this paper stack. Too my surprise I was chosen to win the Stack not knowing that I was going to get all of them that they had show cased that day.

I use mostly DCWV paper.  I love the texture and the different varieties of paper stacks that they have.

Enough of that.  I cut my own ribbon banner in the same green and then journaled on white making it the same way.
The bottles are cut from the cricut cart BABY STEPS cut @ 2.5" and the layers.  I pop dotted the journaling and also the bottles for demention

Thanks for taking a look and please hop on over to Lasting Memories blog and check out all  the DT projects and gets some inspiration from them.

Also check out all the amazing paper stacks from DCWV (sorry right now I don't have the web site.)

Happy Fall

Good morning fellow bloggers!  Hopoe everyone had a great weekend, either crafting or family outings, or just being lazy.  For me I was able oget some crafting in and also to be able to finish my one project that I had been working on for a week.  I had planned on enteringing this in one of the challenges from last week but didn't finish until last nite. But alas I can enter it in the FCCB http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.comlenge that starts today.  Now how lucky is that or maybe karma.
The challenge on the blog this week "SIGNS OF FALL".    I have also entered this into the Craftin Desert Diva's http://www.craftindesertdivas.com       challenge "ANYTHING GOES" linky party.

Here is what I made. Thanks for looking

This is what I used.  For the base I used  a chipboard mini album that I had gotten from M's $bin. I covered the front with a DCWV paper stack called the "FOUR SEASONS".  This paper stack I had gotten at Joann's. This stack is so pretty with glittered paper and 2 of each season. I cut the paper at 5 1/4x 7 1/4. I useda solid card stock to cover the back of the chip board.
The pumpkins are cut from the new CTMH Artbooking cart. I've had this cart about a month now so I haven't relly had a chance to play with it yet. I saw where Jaren  http://purpleparadisecreations.blogspot.com had made a LO  using this pumpkin. If you haven't ever seen her blog hop on over there and see what amazing projects she has made.  I thought it was perfect for what I wanted to do. (or thought, I changed this a few times)  LOL.  I used my markers to outline the pumpkins to give it more dept and colored the leaves after using the "FABRIC SWATCHES SET" cuttlebug cricut embossing folder . The pumpkins were cut @ 4".
The font that I used for the "FALL" was the Alphabet cart that is preloaded on my Cricut Expression2
I cut this out @ 2 1/2" and also the shadow. This was cut with some Recollections paper from  M's.
The bow at the top is from some ribbon that I had gotten at M's.
Thanks for looking and have a great day.
Here are some closeups of the others.

Have a great day everyone

TRICK OR TREAT

Hi blogger friends. Hope everyone had a great day. I did a little crafting on my June calender page between taking care of my 5 month old grandson and making home made potato soup and bread.  Cold weather is here and patato soup sounded so good. That's what I will be eating for the next couple of days.
Enough about food.

Over on the BBTB2 http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com The challenge this week is Pumpkin Time. I'm going to show you what I made then I'm going to tell how I did it.

First I took a Singles To Go box that you can get at Wal-mart.
( A Crystal Light box will also work)

Next I took a peice of pattern paper that I think that I had gotten
from HL. It was in my single paper stash. I measured the box and
cut the paper to the size that I needed.  Here is the paper that I used.
I pieced the paper  around the box to cover it completely.

I used this stamp that I had gotten in the $ bin at M's a couple of
years ago. I stamped it on some green paper from   DCWV.

Next I used my marthat stewart drippy dew punch that I had gotten from
Lorraine (Card Creations) Card Creations By Lorraine     She does such amazing
                                 work!
I had tried to make a card like she did, but of course I didn't have the cartridge
that she had used so I used what I had. She was having a contest or something,
its been awhile so I really don't remember what it was.   Anyway  she had sent
me this punch and some other things. I like this punch alot.

Next I used my TEDDY BEAR PARADE cricut Lite cart
That my friend Brenda  ( Friends Crafty With Friends) had gotten for me
because I wasn't able to find it at my local Wal-mart. This
cart is fun and has lots of cute cuts on it.  The pumpkin bear
cut @ 3.25" and all the layers.

Thanks for taking a look.   Comment if you like. thanks.

May Calender page

Good morning.  Hope everyone had a great weekend.  The wether was pretty here. the leaves are starting to turn and of course falling off the trees.  I have 6 trees in my front yard and when the leaves start to turn and fall I can't see the grass for the leaves.  GRRRRRR  Thats means lots of work for me. But the beauty of the leaves before falling is worth it.

I have been working on a 2014 callender that I'm going to be giving for a Christmas gift.  Not sure whom yet. I've been using graphic 45 paper A PLACE IN TIME and the chip board stickers. And then some other things that I have in my stash.  Here is the May page.  Thanks for looking.

I'm still working on the bottom page,  I am using stamps of the days that I got with my CTMH order either with the Artiste cart or the Artbooking cart  I don't remember which one now.

As you can see in the picture that I have Sunday, Monday and tuesday stamped and that is all.  I still have the rest to do ad the numbers.
thanks for looking and have a great week.

AUTUMN

Good morning every one.  Like the camel says its "HUMP DAY". The weather has turned cool here and the leaves are continueing to fall off the trees. They aren't really changing colors at all  here in Western Ky.

Bitten By the Bug2 http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com challenge for this week is "FALL LEAVES ARE FALLING"  You are suppose to use the leave cut on the Art Philosphy CTMH cart or if you don't have this cart you can use any leaf cut from other cuts.
I don't have this cart so I decided to use the cut from CAC@ cart. I sized it in the CCR so I'm not sure what size it is. I scored the trunk and the leaves of my tree and inked to give it some dept.  I popped dotted it to make it stand off the page and stuck my 4x4 photomats behind the tree.
The pumpkins are cut from the new CTMH Artbooking cart also sized in the CCR. I'm still tryng to learn how to actually cut on my E2 with this cart.  Been watching alot of videos on using real dial size.  I also cut the Autumn from this cart.  The leaf paper that I used is from DCWV the Autumn Melody paper stack thatI had gotten from Joann's last year.
Then fence is from the MINI MONSTERS cart cut @3.5"  I used my swiss dots cuddle bug folder to emboss my pumpkin and inked it.
Thanks for looking and have a great HumpDay everyone.

PRESCHOOL

The Lasting Memories http://kcclayoutchallenges.blogspot.com   blog challenge this week is "ONE COLOR".  This challenge is completely out of my element.  I like to use different colors on my LO's so this was very different for me.
I'm going to post my picture first then I will tell you what carts i used.

First I want to aplogize for the fuzziness of my picture.  I changed a setting on my camera and can't figure out how to get it back.
My background paper is a solid blue that I had in my stash.  I used different shades of the blue for all my other embellishments.  The crayons are from the Simply Charmed cart. The Preschool and the numbers are from the new CTMH ArtBooking cart. I welded my letters for Preschool in the ccr.

The handsome man inn my picture is my grandson Dalton in his preschool class.
Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Happy Fall

Last nite on face book I told Suzanne http://cricutcraftingrammy.blogspot.com that I was scraplifting one of her dbl page LO. I used two of the same carts that she used.
Simply Charmed and Happy Hauntings. I don't have Pop-up-Neighborhood  for some of the other cuts so I emphasized with what I did have.

All the papers that I used are from DCWV. The base paper is from a new stack called MODERN MEADOWS. I also used PHOTO STACK from DCWV for the photo mats. I used a lot of scraps making this. The wagon, (which is actually a flower box) is from Freshy Pick and sized in the ccr room. The corn stocks are also cut from the same photo stack from DCWV. I also cut the bodies of the scarecrow boy and girl with the same paper to make it look like hay then pieced them together. The wheels on the wagon are cut from the Artiste cart. I used silver Liquid Pearl on them to make them look like wagon wheels.
Suzanne did her on October 25th 2011. I popped dotted alot of the pieces for emphasis. thanks Suzanne for the inspiration. http://cricutcraftingrammy.blogspot.com  check out her blog if you get a chance.

I also did some embossing on the trees and the fruit.  I inked then fruit to change the color.  I then took my markers and lightely did some markings for emphasis.

The Happy Fall was cut from Creat-A-Critter. The Happy was from one page and Fall from another.
I'm also entering this in the FCCB challenege this week  "FALL IS IN THE AIR" http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com

Thanks for taking a look.  Have a great week
