VAROOM

Its been a little while since my last post.  I've been doing some more things for my granddaughter's Baby Shower that is coming up on June 8th.  I posted the baby shower invites in my last post so now I'm going to post some of the decorations that I have made.

Brenda from Friends Crafting With Friends. She had posted some time ago on her blog a Tricycle Diaper cake.  She had posted on her web site that she had gotten her idea from http://scrapalette.blogspot.com/2011/08/diaper-tricycle.html.

I'm more of a visual crafter so I started google searching on U-Tube to find a video on how to make this Tricycle Diaper cake.  I found a gentleman on U-Tube Mike Evans.  The tutorial is great and very easy to watch and do.  He also makes a Motorcycle Diaper cake.

I like the way it turned out.  I'm hoping my granddaughter really likes it too.   This will be a surprise for her.  Thanks for looking.

The next photos are my Motorcycle Diaper cake.  I like the way it came out.

My wheels all look like they have low tires.   LOL  I see that I will have to fix them.

BABY SHOWER

First I want to take a minute to send prayers for the people in Moore Oklahoma.

I want to thank everyone for the comments on my Mother's Day card.  I also wanted to thank the Design team on the FCCB for picking my card for one of the top 5. It meant so much to me because of this was my first challenge that I had done in awhile.

The challenge this week in FCCB http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com is "OH BABY"  You are to make a project for baby.  This is a Baby Shower invitation for my Granddaughter's baby shower.  I used the Ultimate Creative Series cartridge to make the bottle and sized it in the ccr. Forgot what size it is. The Baby Shower is from the New Arrival cart which I think now is a retired cart.

Here are the others I made in different colors. BTW  It's a Boy

Happy Mother's Day

Hope everyone is having a great week so far.  I finally was able to do some crafting.  I'm getting better everyday with my grieving process and the crafting today was a big step.  My DH was my best  Judge when I was creating things.   I always was asking him and showing him what I had done.

This was even a harder challenge for me because of the project that I made was a Mother's day project.  I lost my mom 21 years ago.  My mother-n-law I lost 6 years ago.  She was my best friend.  I was her care giver for the last 9 weeks of her life.   Making this card was very soothing for me to be able to remember them both and that too know that My DH  is with both of them.

I'm going to post my card first,  then I will let you know below the post what cuts I used and the embossing.

My card is a 5x7 card. The embossing if from Anna Griffin the Climbing Rose folder.  I just love her folders

The flowers are from the flower shoppe cart.   I love this cart for making small flowers. The ribbon and the white flowers were in my stash that I had gotten from M's a few months ago. The gems are from M's also.   The Happy Mother's Day stamp was also in my stash.  Not sure the name or where I had gotten it.  I'm entering this in the BBTB2 http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com  challenge for this week which is to make a Mother's Day Project.  I'm also entering this is the FCCB challenge also.   http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com

Thanks for looking and have a great day  Happy Early Mother's day everyone.  Cherish the time that you have with your mom's because one day they won't be there.  God will have taken them with him.

TO MY LOVING HUSBAND

I know most of you that follow my blog know that my husband had been fighting lung and brain cancer for the past year and 1/2.  On April 21st  he lost his battle and God called him home.  My oldest daughter posted this on her facebook page and I wanted to post it here for you guys to see it.  Its very hard for me to read it.

Glenda I wanted to say that I'm sending huge prayers out to you and your husband.  I been in your shoes.

posting

Its been two weeks since I posted.  We had the memorial service for my DH last Saturday.

My sister and her husband came back for the service and my brother-n-law had to have emergency surgery because of a ruptured spleen. My sister didn't even make it back for the service.  I told her that it didn't make any difference that Barry was important.   We had to call an ambulance to come and take him around 11:00 AM    Last Wednesday the Doctor released him so My sister and her daughter could drive Barry back to Dwight Il where they live.

On Wednesday after noon I had to go to Babtist Heath in Paducah where my youngest daughter had gone to her OB doctor.   They admitted her immediately and did an ultra sound and found that the umbibical cord was over the top of Colton's head.   They said that this was very dangerous for the baby and that she needed a C-section done.   The nurse told Jamie that if she was to go into labor the cord would come out first.  Then Colton would have landed on the cord and no blood or oxogen would have gotten to him and he would have died.  I will post pics at the end of my blog.

So the past week has been crazy.  Now that things have settled down I think now I can morn my husband for just a little bit.  Not long because he would come down and kick my but.  LOL

Here are some pics of my new grandson.
