Hi, hope everyone had a great day. I finally got most of my projects done or at least I have everything cut out and ready to go. I have most of my calender pages done. Now i have to do the numbers and days of the week.
I'm trying to work on the challenges that I like to do. This week on Lasting Memories LO Challenge http://kcclayoutchallenges.blogspot.com the challenge was REMEBERANCE DAY/ VETERENS DAY.
I have been working on this LO for about a year. With the challenge I was able to pick it up again and finish it. This is my Husband's brother. He was only a couple of years olders. The first page is all the memorials for the first 10 years after he was killed in Veitnam. The second page was a memorial that we had put in the paper. I had to read thru many letters and keepsakes that my mother-n-law had kept. After she passed in 2007 Larry and I went thru letters and books and envelopes with everything that she had kept over the years. Here is the finished LO.
I used George Basics for the holders of all the memorials that were in the paper for each year.
Thanks for taking a look. He couragesly fought and died for our country so we could have the freedom that we enjoy.
Wow.. A year... Definitely worth it! Looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteSo glad we could help you finish off this amazing tribute to your Husband's Brother!!!

What a GREAT LO and tribute! Thanks for joining us at Lasting Memories!
ReplyDeleteVickie is this just so beautiful!! I know how much work went into this, the blood, the sweat, the tears-what a great tribute to a brave, brave man! You had me crying my friend, because I can so relate especially with Lance deploying on his 6th tour of duty here soon. I pray that I never have to experience the loss of a child and I don't know how your mother in law dealt with her sorrow of losing a child. I just think this is amazing my friend. I think we all need to remember this brave men and women who give their lifes to make this country a safer place for the rest of us. Freedom isn't free!!! Hugs my friend!
